What is Rabies?

Rabies is a deadly viral disease that affects the nervous system of all mammals. Once symptoms appear, rabies is almost always fatal, making vaccination crucial for prevention.

How is Rabies Spread?


Rabies is transmitted through the saliva of infected animals, usually by bites. Wild animals like bats, raccoons, and skunks are common carriers. Pets can contract rabies through exposure to wildlife.

Signs of Rabies in Animals


Common symptoms include aggression, excessive drooling, difficulty swallowing, and paralysis. If your pet shows any unusual behavior, contact your veterinarian immediately.
